Blackberry smart mobile phone maker, said it will filter out porn sites as soon as possible after the Indonesian government threatened to shut down its service in Indonesia if it did not want to block access to porn sites.

In a statement, quoted by AFP, Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the Blackberry, said that they had spoken with its partners and the government of Indonesia regarding the demands blocking porn sites.

RIM continues that they put the Indonesian government demands that the highest priority and how to implement a satisfactory technical solution as soon as possible.

"Research In Motion confirmed that the company understands the urgency of Minister (Communication and Information) Tifatul Sembiring subject matter and is fully willing to cooperate with operators (telecommunications) of Indonesia to implement a solution that quickly filter and relented for the sake of our customers with Blackberry in Indonesia as soon as possible , "said RIM in a statement quoted by the New York Times.
